Concept 01 In development

Phone stays in the bag.
Score lives on the cart.

Keep your head in the shot. Slab holds the card where you already stand — glove-on, glanceable, finished when the hole is. The phone comes out once: after the round, when the numbers can actually teach you something.

Concept 01 industrial design of Slab: a light matte rounded scoring slab with a glanceable face, two pads, and a center dial.

01 / Play

The phone is a terrible scoring instrument.

Unlock tax

Glove, glare, lock screen.

Mid-hole you are managing a rectangle that wants a password, a brightness slider, and both thumbs. The next shot waits.

Split attention

The card should not pull you out.

Scoring is a glance, not a session. If the instrument argues with you, you stop keeping an honest card — or you stop playing the hole in front of you.

Empty review

Improvement needs a card you kept.

Greens, putting, versus par — those numbers only help if they come from a round you actually finished. Focus first. Review later.

Slab is a different habit. Score on the cart. Phone in the bag. Attention on the hole.

02 / Product

Two pads. One dial. A card you finish in a glance.

You tap what happened. You do not manage an app. Load the hole before you tee, play, confirm, move. The object stays on the cart. The silhouette is Concept 01 — a study, not a shipping unit.

The six-screen system

Approved face studies. Six states. No menus. This is the round, not a settings tree.

Default hole face: hole 7, par 4, 412 yards, current score 4.
01 Default hole Header and running score. The hole is already loaded.
Stroke edit face with minus and plus around a large stroke count.
02 Stroke edit Adjust what you took. Dial keeps the number.
Putts input face showing two putts with minus and plus.
03 Putts The number that later explains the card.
End-hole confirm face with strokes, putts, fairway left center right, and done.
04 End-hole confirm Strokes, putts, fairway. Then the hole is closed.
Round complete face showing 74, plus 2, ready to sync on the phone.
05 Round complete Quiet total. Phone comes out in the lot — not the fairway.
Derived stats face showing 61 percent greens in regulation and putting averages.
06 Derived stats Greens and putting, computed from the card you kept.

03 / Review

The round is quiet. The review is honest.

Improvement is not a live feed. It is a card you actually finished — greens, putting, versus par — read once, when you can use it. Slab keeps the round on the cart so the review is worth opening.
